Createasphere Goes Beyond the Still
with Workshops for Canon Live Learning

April 5, 2010 (Burbank, CA) Createasphere, the leading producer of community-driven events and education for content creators, has announced it will produce Canon U.S.A.’s “EOS Moving Image Workshop - Beyond the Still” in cooperation with Canon’s Live Learning program.  Well known for presenting global exhibitions and conferences, Createasphere has an eight-year track record of category-defining professional education geared specifically towards the working cinematographer.  Createasphere developed the workshop in cooperation with Canon and designed the sessions and curriculum for the three-day program. 

The EOS Moving Image Workshop- Beyond the Still training will focus on hands-on learning, interaction with experts and mentored shoots. The workshop will feature a detailed overview of the camera as well as shooting video with DSLRs (including the mechanics of focus, exposure, contrast, color, and scene construction).  In addition, there will be a discussion of the different scenarios of production that are impacted by location, schedule and budget. The workshop will afford the opportunity for hands-on shooting and screening of footage, and concludes with an overview of the postproduction process. Createasphere tapped Emmy nominated and Sundance-winning cinematographer Nancy Schreiber, ASC to lead the first workshop.  Schreiber, whose credits include features and television, consistently pushes the envelope of new technologies in production and postproduction.
