Producer Jeffrey Silver Set To Keynote HD EXPO - Createasphere
Prolific and respected producer Jeffrey SIlver's awe-inspiring credits include "300," "Training Day," and the highly anticipated upcoming 3D release "Tron: Legacy." In addition to more than 30 feature producing credits, he's also an Emmy Award winning producer for his work on the long-running hit series "The Wonder Years" and a founding partner of Outlaw Productions and Biscayne Pictures.
Forging the use of cutting edge technology on a number of productions including “300,” (the 2006 hit that brought Frank Miller’s graphic novel vividly to life) and “Tron Legacy,” Silver merges the highly creative with the highly technological to tell compelling stories. He will bring his unique perspective on producing to the audience at HD EXPO - Createasphere on November 5th.
Jeffrey's Keynote is sponsored by The Science and Entertainment Industry Exchange, (www.scienceandentertainmentexchange.org) where he serves as a member of the Advisory Board. He is a dedicated supporter of the collaboration between scientists and content creators who both face a growing need to put creative license and creative authenticity and clarity in sync. The Exchange is an organization founded by the National Academy of Science and a number of influential filmmakers and is focused on helping content creators understand and deploy real scientific knowledge in content creation.

RAGE: First Made-for-Mobile Feature Debuts
RAGE. You've no doubt read some of the press about this first-ever made-for-mobile feature film. The story of a young blogger who shoots behind-the-scenes interviews on his cell phone, this feature--distributed by Babelgum--is notable for many reasons.
Producer Andrew Fierberg assembled an all-star group to make the film, including director Sally Potter, and actors who include Steve Buscemi, Judi Dench, Eddie Izzard, Jude Law, John Leguizamo, Diane Wiest, Simon Abkarian, Lily Cole, Bob Balaban, Riz Ahmed, Patrick J. Adams, Adriana Barraza, Jakob Cedergren, and David Oyelowo. In addition to directing, Potter also wrote Rage, composed the music and operated the camera. Steve Fierberg (Andrew's brother) was cinematographer who designed the lighting.
Babelgum launched the film today via its mobile application for iPhone and iPod devices. MobilizedTV had a chance to speak with Karol Martesko-Fenster, GM & Publisher of Babelgum’s FILM Division and producer Steven Fierberg. More

Createasphere Heads To Macao
On December 3, Createasphere will present China's first ever content creator entertainment technology event, The Macao, China International Digital Cinema Festival and Entertainment Technology Expo. The Expo will take place from December 3 - 5th, in Macao, China, with the support of the Macao government and China's leading filmmakers, broadcasters and content creators. Over the course of three days, experts and artists will gather to explore the dawn of HD broadcasting in China as well as the role of technology in content creation. HD EXPO - Createasphere has joined forces with Randall Dark Productions and Burma Road Productions to present the Expo; the trio forms one of the most highly qualified, respected group of experts who explore the implications of emerging technologies on creative industries in the world. Panels, keynotes and events will be announced shortly.
Kristin Petrovich, President of HD EXPO – Createasphere, noted “For those of us who work in the community of content creators and entertainment technologists, China’s massive and rapidly growing economy simply cannot be ignored. There is so much going on there that we need to experience and, conversely, our decade plus experience in high definition and cutting edge technologies like 3D could be very beneficial to the Chinese at this critical moment. Whether you are in China, Calcutta, or Burbank, global content creators and technological experts need to share information. We believe that this is a powerful opportunity for that kind of community building, set in a magnificent place with key partners.”
